Travel Information
Recife is served by the Gilberto Freyre International Airport (IATA: REC, ICAO: SBRF ), which is one of the busiest airports in the Northeastern region of Brazil. Currently, it hosts direct flights to 12 international destinations (see list below), besides a wide range of regional flights in Brazil (particularly, to/from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro). The airport offers a 24h taxi service (two options available): airport taxi (red and white cars) and common taxi (blue and white cars).
